I found that I couldn't put the book down. Pastor Shorkey gets right to the point. No punches pulled... but with a gentleness at the same time. He explains very well how we cause a disconnect from God and shows us the way to experience His grace and forgiveness. Getting back on the path of Christian growth is exciting. Although the title may seem abrasive, it's totally true! This book gives real life examples (that are at times even comical with unbelievable stupidity), but then brings it full circle to talk about what the Bible has to say about how we can avoid those sins in our own life. Whether you've got a major sin issue in your life, or just need a little "tweaking" this book has great insights, a solid scripture basis, and real life application points.
This book is great for individual study, but also has resources for small groups (questions/action points at the end of each chapter) and Pastor Shorkey's website [...] also has videos to accompany each chapter.
Overall, this is a great book and I highly recommend it!
The ideas are presented in a clear straight forward manner that keeps the reader engaged.
